Fillmore Student Competition Team MESA - Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement

An atom diagram with the Fillmore Lions logo in the center and the word MESA below.

MESA stands for Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement, and is a program that helps students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).  The mission of the MESA program is to provide educationally and economically disadvantaged students opportunities to engage with these fields in ways that inspire them and to support our students in their higher education and career goals.

MESA programs include project-based competitions, field trips, short courses, and other events. Students work together on projects in clubs, after-school programs, or daily electives.

Fillmore's MESA team is coached by 8th grade teacher Mrs. Myers.  She has dedicated her afternoons to coaching all interested 7th and 8th grade students.  She prepares her students for upcoming events and competitions, including events on the weekend.  All students are encouraged to join Fillmore's MESA team!
